Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about tuning
ECU tuning modifies the engine control unit's software to optimize power output, throttle response, and efficiency — all tailored to your specific vehicle and setup.
It depends on your manufacturer and dealer. Many OEM warranties don't cover ECU modifications. We recommend checking with your dealer before tuning if warranty coverage is a concern.
Always use the highest octane fuel specified for your tune. Running lower octane than required can cause knock and engine damage. We'll specify the exact fuel requirement when delivering your map.
Absolutely. A properly calibrated tune is completely safe for daily use. We offer daily-driver maps optimized for reliability and comfort alongside our performance tunes.
Yes. Most vehicles are supported via remote ECU flashing — no need to visit us in person. Our team will walk you through every step and stays in contact throughout the entire process.
Stage 1 is software-only on a stock car. Stage 2 requires supporting hardware like upgraded intake or exhaust. Stage 3 involves more extensive hardware for maximum power. We'll recommend the right stage for your goals and budget.
Map switching lets you toggle between different tune profiles — for example a race map and a street map — without reflashing your ECU. Ask us if your car supports this feature.
